The Detroit Lions' losing slide continues, a development that could cost coach Jim Schwartz his job.

The Lions were eliminated from playoff contention with a 23-20 defeat to the New York Giants in overtime.

The Lions are 7-8 and have lost five of their past six games.

"We put ourselves in a bad, bad situation," linebacker Stephen Tulloch said. "Unfortunately, we can't dig ourselves out of it now."

What does Schwartz think about his job security?

"Speculation isn't my job," Schwartz said. "Coaching is enough of a job for me."F
