Detroit Lions starting cornerback Chris Houston was ruled out to play on Thanksgiving against the Green Bay Packers because of a foot injury.
Houston, who did not practice all week, was officially deemed inactive Thursday, leaving the Lions with four healthy cornerbacks. Rookie Darius Slay will make his third start of the season in Houston's place.
The Packers have four key players including three starters and a key backup making their return against the Lions.
Active for the Packers are cornerback Sam Shields, right tackle Don Barclay, defensive end Johnny Jolly and linebacker Nick Perry. Shields, Barclay and Jolly are expected to start.
On Wednesday, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was ruled out and Matt Flynn was named the starter for the Packers.
Other inactives for the Packers include tight end Brandon Bostick (concussion) and defensive end Jerel Worthy.
For the Lions, wide receiver Calvin Johnson (knee) is active.
