Reggie Bush had a big day, paving the way to a blowout win for the Lions over the hapless Packers, 40-10, at home.
Matthew Stafford tore apart the Packers for three scores on 22 of 35 passing for 330 yards, two picks and one fumble. On the Packers side, Matt Flynn did not fare as well on the day, going 10 of 20 with 139 yards passing, no touchdowns, one pick and two fumbles.
Bush was a standout player for the Lions, rushing for 117 yards on 20 attempts with a touchdown in addition to five receptions for 65 yards with one fumble. Calvin Johnson was a highlight, pulling in six passes for 101 yards with a touchdown.
The Detroit defense was the deciding factor in the victory, limiting the Packers to 24 yards rushing and 139 passing while forcing one interception. They harassed Flynn and the Packers offensive line with an imposing seven sacks.
Packers wide receiver James Jones contributed 79 receiving yards.
Next week, the Lions travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles (6-5) while the Packers are at home against the Falcons (2-9).
