Lehigh holds off Quinnipiac in 69-58 win

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) -- Tim Kempton scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Lehigh to a 69-58 win over Quinnipiac on Saturday night.

Jesse Chuku contributed 11 points and Corey Schaefer added 10 for Lehigh (7-5), which reached its 1,000th program victory and extended its win-streak to five. The Mountain Hawks shot 48 percent from the field, hitting 6 of 9 from 3-point range, and led the entire game.

Quinnipiac (6-4, 1-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) kept the score close in the first half, trailing 22-15 at the break, but fell 22 points behind in the second half before closing out the game with a 17-6 run that was too little, too late.

Ike Azotam led Quinnipiac with 18 points and had eight rebounds. Ousmane Drame added 14 points and nine rebounds, while Kasim Chandler had 11 points.
