LeBron James put up 29 points and added 8 rebounds to help the Miami Heat beat the Boston Celtics, 93-86. Miami (30-12) picked up the win after falling to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.
James finished 10-19 and converted 9-11 from the free throw line. Other top contributors for Miami included Chris Bosh with 16 points and 6 rebounds, and Chris Andersen with 13 points and 7 rebounds. On 5-7 shooting from the field and 5-5 from the free throw line, Brandon Bass put up 15 points off the bench for Boston in the loss. Jeff Green chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds and Jared Sullinger finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Celtics posted an eFG% of just 42.3%, including 18.5% from 3-point range. This year, they are 2-10 when they record marks below 45% and 30% in those respective categories. On the other hand, the Heat are undefeated (6-0) when holding their opponents to such low percentages.
Boston (14-29) has now lost three straight.
