League of Legends Super League Gaming invites players to represent their city on the big screen
Super League Gaming has partnered with Riot Games to announce a new set of League of Legends events hosted in movie theaters across the United States.
Participants will need to bring their own laptops to take part via an exclusive League Unlocked client, which features access to all champions with over 100 skins, 50 percent more XP gains, and 20 percent more IP gains. Access to this client will only be available while participants are in the theater.
City Rec will be open to League of Legends players of all levels run as single-day events. SLG has not confirmed specific dates for City Rec events yet, but they will be scheduled following the conclusion of City Champs.
For those looking for something more serious, City Champs offers the opportunity for participants to represent their city. Players must be at least level 30 and older than 16 years of age to register in the round-robin, multi-season tournament. Each city will pick 60 players to form 12 teams who will go on to play against teams from other cities. The tournament will follow a point system, with the team finishing first in points crowned with the City Champs title.
More information and registration is available on the Super League Gaming website. City Champs costs $80 per season to participate, while City Recs is priced at $20 per event.
