Lance Stephenson posts double-double, Pacers dominate Bobcats
Lance Stephenson scored 15 points and registered 10 rebounds, his 3rd double-double of the season, to lead the Indiana Pacers to a blowout victory over the Charlotte Bobcats, 99-74. This is the 5th consecutive victory for Indiana (14-1).
Stephenson went 5-10 from the field and 5-7 from the free throw line. Other top contributors for Indiana included C.J. Watson with 18 points and 6 rebounds, Paul George with 15 points and 5 rebounds, and Roy Hibbert with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Despite the loss, Al Jefferson put up 16 points for Charlotte on 7-15 shooting from the field and 2-4 from the free throw line. He also tallied 9 rebounds. Kemba Walker chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds.
The clash of top-tier defenses was won by Indiana. They rank second in the NBA in defensive efficiency this season (0.00), and held Charlotte to just 0.73 points per possession. The Bobcats had an eFG% of just 33.1% while also posting an OR% of 19.6. They are 0-1 this season in games when they drop below 45% and 20% in those respective offensive factors. On the other hand, the Pacers are undefeated (3-0) when limiting their opponents to those numbers or worse.
Charlotte (7-9) has now dropped consecutive games after losing to Boston on Monday.
