By no means is it an even trade-off, but the Los Angeles Lakers added a player to their roster to replace injured guard Kobe Bryant.
Guard Andrew Goudelock was re-signed by the Lakers, for whom he played 40 games during 2011-12 season, averaging 4.4 points and 0.5 assists.
"Glad to be back," Goudelock told the Los Angeles Times. "Feel so bad for Kobe. But we need these wins."
Goudelock played 51 games this season in the NBA Development League for Sioux Falls and Rio Grande Valley. He produced averages of 21.1 points, 5.2 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals. He was the D-League's co-player of the month for March and won player of the week honors twice that month.
Bryant underwent season-ending surgery on his left Achilles tendon after he was injured Friday night.
