Eddie Lacy, berated all last season and throughout the off season for his weight was the most impressive thing about this Packers offense aside from the pass protection. Running behind good offensive line play, Lacy was getting some good runs before the Packers had to play catch up and throw the ball. Battling an ankle injury, it wasn’t clear coming into this game how much Lacy was even going to play. Not only did he end up playing, but he played well.

He hurtled at least five Cowboys defenders and fought for extra yards throughout the entire game. While he didn’t have the breakaway speed to get the long touchdown runs (and there were at least two of those opportunities available) there’s no question he’s back in pretty good football shape. Lacy was the most fun part of the Packers offensive attack to watch on Sunday. The defenders would go down low to his legs for the easy tackle, and Lacy would simply leap over them. While he only ended up averaging 3.8 yards a carry, he hit the right holes most of the time and ultimately played a pretty solid game, even if it doesn’t show on the stat sheet.
