Kyvon Davenport commits to Memphis

Memphis pick up a commitment from JUCO Forward Kyvon Davenport.

Davenport, 6-foot-8, was in town for a visit and really liked what he saw, "It was great, I saw a lot of things I liked."

What made him choose Memphis?

"It's a great spot and I feel like it fits me."

Coach Joe Esposito was his main recruiter they built a good bond.

There's been some uncertainty with the fans in recent days towards the basketball program but Davenport ha a message for them.

"I'm here to help the program and I'm going to give it my all to help us win it all."

He averaged 16.5 points per game with 10.6 rebounds last season for Georgia Highlands College and was named Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association player of the year.
