GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Sandy Koufax likes what he sees in this bunch of Los Angeles Dodgers.
The 78-year-old Hall of Famer and Dodgers great visited the practice fields at spring training on Monday. Koufax is in his second year as a special adviser to team chairman Mark Walter, and also is serving as a consultant throughout the season.
The Dodgers reached the NL championship series last year before losing to St. Louis.
Koufax is eager to watch how young outfielder Yasiel Puig progresses. Puig's confidence and aggressiveness sometimes led to mistakes in the field and on the basepath paths last year as a rookie.
The former Dodgers left-hander also sees more great things ahead for the team's current lefty ace, two-time Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw.
