The wife of Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb is due to give birth on Oct. 4, the same day the Cardinals play at the St. Louis Rams.
Kolb, who recently took over as the starter with John Skelton out with an ankle injury, does not want to miss the birth of his third daughter.
"I don't want to have to make that decision," Kolb told the Arizona Republic. "I don't make the rules, God does, so we'll see what happens."
Skelton beat out Kolb for the starting quarterback job at the end of the preseason but Kolb has led the Cardinals to two wins to start the season. Skelton was injured during the Cardinals' season opener. Kolb relieved him and rallied Arizona to a 20-16 victory over Seattle.
