New York Knicks forward Marcus Camby will be out of action for two to four weeks after an MRI performed Friday showed he had a strained left plantar fascia, reported.
Camby missed 12 games earlier in the season with a similar injury in his foot.
Camby, 38, had started the past four games for the Knicks, but he injured his foot Thursday and left the locker room in a walking boot and using crutches.
Camby is averaging 2.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14 games this season.
Camby had returned to the court on Christmas Day and had been receiving cortisone shots for the pain.
The injury flared up in the third quarter of Thursday's game when he landed awkwardly on a drive to the basket.
With Rasheed Wallace also sidelined while nursing a sore left foot, the Post reported that the Knicks are interested in signing Kenyon Martin, but they would need to make room on the roster for him.
