Tyson Chandler will miss at least one week with a bulging disc in his neck, an injury confirmed by an MRI Tuesday.
The team announced Chandler and Kurt Thomas, who has a stress reaction in his right foot, are sidelined. Thomas might miss 2-4 weeks.
Chandler missed the past two games with soreness in his neck. Coach Mike Woodson told The Sports Xchange Monday he wasn't sure how long Chandler might be out.
"I'm not a doctor. I know it's not well enough for him to play," Woodson said. "Obviously, it's bothering him."
The Knicks might be forced to make a roster move. Amar'e Stoudemire (knee) and Rasheed Wallace (foot) are out until the playoffs, perhaps into the first round of the postseason.
