Sacramento Kings rookie forward Thomas Robinson was suspended for two games Thursday for a flagrant foul against the Pistons on Wednesday night, the NBA announced.
Robinson threw an elbow to the throat of Jonas Jerebko as the two were jockeying for rebounding position. Jerebko fell to the floor for several minutes, but return to action. Robinson was immediately thrown out of the game.
The rookie from Kansas will miss the Kings' Friday game at home against the San Antonio Spurs and Sunday's game at the Los Angeles Lakers.
He has played 13.6 minutes a contest this season, averaging 4.4 points and 3.6 rebounds a game.
