The Sacramento Kings completed a deal for forward Luc Mbah a Moute on Friday, the team announced.
The Kings acquired Mbah a Moute from the Milwaukee Bucks for two future second-round picks in a trade that was reported by multiple media outlets earlier in the week.
"Luc is one of the premier defenders in the game today, with a proven ability to guard a variety of different scoring threats on a nightly basis," Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro said. "His versatility in this respect will go a long way in helping us improve dramatically on the defensive end of the floor."
Mbah a Moute started 45 games for the Bucks last season and averaged 6.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game -- numbers that were consistent with his career averages of 6.9 points and 5.3 rebounds in five seasons with the Bucks
The native of Cameroon, selected in the second round of the NBA Draft in 2008, is due to make $9 million in the next two seasons. The Bucks considered him expendable after agreeing to terms wiht free-agent forward Zaza Pachulia.
