Kevin Love finished with 31 points and added 8 rebounds to help the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Chicago Bulls, 95-86. Minnesota (22-22) picked up the win after falling to the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.
Love finished 8-17 (1-7 from three-point range) and 14-14 from the free throw line. Ronny Turiaf contributed 14 points and 7 rebounds for Minnesota as well. Despite the loss, Carlos Boozer put up 20 points for Chicago on 9-24 shooting. He also registered 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals. D.J. Augustin added 19 points and 6 assists, Jimmy Butler finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds, and Taj Gibson put up 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bulls had an eFG% of just 42.4% coupled with a low FTA rate of 18.8. This season, they are winless (0-5) when they fall below 45% and 20.0 in those respective metrics. Conversely, the Timberwolves are undefeated (2-0) when forcing their opponents below those thresholds.
Chicago (22-22) could not get back-to-back victories after defeating Charlotte on Saturday.
