Kevin Durant scored 33 points and added 10 rebounds to help the Oklahoma City Thunder take down the Milwaukee Bucks, 101-85. Oklahoma City (28-9) picked up the win after falling to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.
Durant finished 8-18 from the field (2-5 on 3-pointers) and 15-17 from the free throw line. Other top performers for Oklahoma City were Serge Ibaka with 17 points and 17 rebounds, and Thabo Sefolosha with 14 points and 6 rebounds. On 5-11 shooting, including 4-8 from behind the arc, O.J. Mayo put up 16 points off the bench for Milwaukee in the loss.
As expected, the Bucks offense did not have its best game, struggling to score against the elite Thunder defense that ranks first in the league with a defensive efficiency of 98.3. They registered just .922 points per possession in this game, and rank 30th in the NBA with an offensive efficiency of 95.6 on the season.
Milwaukee (7-29) has now dropped their last five straight contests.
