Outfielder Matt Kemp and shortstop Hanley Ramirez were both back in the Los Angeles Dodgers' starting lineup for Tuesday's game against Arizona.
It will be Kemp's first start since he suffered a left ankle sprain on July 21. He was activated from the disabled list on Monday, and appeared in Monday night's game as a pinch-hitter.
Manager Don Mattingly said when Kemp was activated he would be used only as a pinch-hitter for a while, but apparently Kemp is ready for a starting role. He has appeared in only 63 games this season and is batting .262.
Hanley had been out since last Thursday because of an irritated nerve in his lower back. He is hitting .342 with 18 home runs in 79 games this season.
