Kemba Walker, Al Jefferson spark Bobcats by Raptors
Al Jefferson scored 24 points and registered 11 rebounds, his seventh double-double of the season, to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a close victory over the Toronto Raptors, 104-102. Charlotte (12-14) has now won back-to-back games after defeating Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.
Jefferson shot 9-18 from the field and 6-10 from the free throw line. Other key players for Charlotte included Kemba Walker with 29 points and 5 rebounds, Josh McRoberts with 13 points and 7 rebounds, and Ramon Sessions with 11 points and 5 rebounds. DeMar DeRozan had another quality performance for Toronto despite the loss, putting up 30 points on 11-26 shooting. Kyle Lowry added 17 points and 6 assists, John Salmons finished with 11 points and 6 rebounds, and Amir Johnson put up 10 points and 13 rebounds.
This drops Toronto (9-14) to 0-2 against Charlotte on the year.
Coming up, the Bobcats battle the Detroit Pistons, who are 13-14 on the season. The Raptors meet the Dallas Mavericks, currently sitting at 14-10 this year.
