Houston Texans coach Gary Kubiak announced Monday that Case Keenum will start at quarterback Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
The rookie played in his first NFL game Oct. 20 against the Kansas City Chiefs. In the 17-16 road loss, Keenum completed 15 of 25 passes for 271 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions.
Matt Schaub was inactive for the game against the Chiefs because of an ankle injury. Before Schaub was injured, he struggled. Through six games, he completed 64.4 percent of his passes for 1,552 yards but with eight touchdown passes and nine interceptions.
The Texans are coming off a bye.
