Keenan Allen: (Knee) Will Not Run Until April Staff

Update: Allen (PCL strain) will not participate in drills at the Combine and will only run routes at the California pro day March 14, CBS Sports reports. Allen will not run the 40-yard dash or any other timed or measured drills until a separate workout in the first week of April.

Recommendation: While Allen's availability for training camp is a non-issue, the fact that his knee is flaring up on him in pre-draft training does raise a bit of a red flag. Allen suffered a PCL tear way back on Oct. 27, which was over 16 weeks ago, so he shouldn't be having trouble at this point in time. It wouldn't be shocking if Allen's knee limits his effectiveness in timed drills even if he does participate in them in April, and if that's the case, Allen could be in danger of falling into the second round.
