Kate Middleton and Princes William & Harry are 'shocked and saddened' by Manchester terror attack

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are “shocked and saddened” by the recent terror attack in Manchester that claimed the lives of 22 individuals including children. On Tuesday, Prince William, who is a father to daughter Princess Charlotte, two, and son Prince George, three, released a statement via Kensington Palace addressing the horrific bombing on behalf of his wife Kate Middleton, brother Prince Harry and himself.

The royal dad-of-two, 34, said, “Like everyone, Catherine, Harry and I are left shocked and saddened by the tragedy that unfolded in Manchester overnight. Hundreds of friends, parents, children, and partners are confronting unimaginable grief today, and we send our thoughts to them all. We also send our thanks to the people of Manchester for their display of strength, decency, and community that is an example to the world."

William’s statement followed his grandmother and father’s. On Tuesday moring, Her Majesty and Prince Charles released separate statements sending their condolences to the victims and those affected by the bombing. Later in the day, the Queen and members of the royal family paid their respects to the victims of the Manchester terror attack by observing a minute of silence at a Buckingham Palace garden party with their 8,000 guests.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack that claimed the lives off 22 individuals, including an eight-year-old girl, while injuring dozens at an Ariana Grande concert on May 22. Hours after the explosion, Ariana broke her silence tweeting, “broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don't have words.”
