Josh Smith put up 30 points to help the Detroit Pistons slip by the Indiana Pacers, 101-96. Detroit (12-14) picked up the win after falling to Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
Smith went 13-29, including 1-4 from three-point range. Other top contributors for Detroit included Brandon Jennings with 18 points and 8 assists, and Greg Monroe with 13 points and 12 rebounds. On 9-14 shooting from the field and 4-5 from the free throw line, Lance Stephenson scored 23 points for Indiana in the loss. He also recorded 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Paul George contributed 17 points and 9 rebounds and David West finished with 14 points and 5 rebounds.
This drops Indiana (20-4) to 1-1 against Detroit on the year.
