Jordan Zimmermann: Avoids Arbitration With Nats

RotoWire.com Staff

Update: Zimmerman and the Nationals avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $5.35 million contract Friday, William Ladson of MLB.com reports.

Recommendation: Zimmermann set career marks in several statistical categories last season, including wins (12), ERA (2.94) and strikeouts (153). Now that he and the club have worked out a deal, the 26-year-old right-hander will head to camp and begin preparing for the upcoming campaign. He's expected to open the year as the Nats' third starter.
