Jon Jones Goes on Twitter Rampage Against Light Heavyweight Division

Former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones put the top of the 205-pound division on blast on Wednesday, going on a Twitter tirade directed toward current champion Daniel Cormier and contender Anthony Johnson. Cormier will defend his belt against Johnson in the main event of UFC 206 on Dec. 10 in Toronto.

Jones was stripped of the light heavyweight belt after his involvement in a hit-and-run incident in Albuquerque, N.M. in April 2015, weeks before he was supposed to defend his title against Johnson. Cormier stepped in on short notice and captured the crown.

Jones was scheduled to rematch Cormier, whom he defeated at UFC 182, at UFC 200 in July, but after being flagged for a potential anti-doping violation “Bones” was removed from the fight card.

Jones has been sitting on the sidelines watching the division move on without him, and he's frustrated by what he sees. He vented his frustrations in a series of Tweets on Wednesday.
