DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) -- Tyler Kalinoski recorded 23 points and Tom Droney 18, as Davidson routed Johnson & Wales (NC) 105-63 on Saturday night.
Davidson (4-5) doubled-up on Division III Johnson and Wales at halftime, leading 52-26, in a half that included seven Davidson steals; a plus-seven turnover ratio and Davidson shooting 56 percent from the floor compared to Johnson & Wales 33 percent.
Johnson & Wales was able to hang for the first five minutes trailing only 13-11 until Davidson's Division I talent level overwhelmed J&W and the rout began, despite Davidson's leading scorer De'Mon Brooks looking on from the bench with a knee injury.
Davidson cleared the bench in the effort with 11 Wildcats scoring and J&W was able to get as close as 17 in the second before Davidson pushed it back to 42 points at the buzzer.
