John Wall finished with 31 points to help the Washington Wizards defeat the New York Knicks, 98-89. Washington (5-8) picked up the win after falling to Toronto Raptors on Friday.
Wall shot 10-18 from the field and 10-11 from the free throw line. Washington also got solid performances from Bradley Beal with 18 points and 6 assists, and Marcin Gortat with 16 points and 17 rebounds. On 9-19 shooting, including 2-6 from behind the arc, Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points for New York in the loss. He also added 12 rebounds. Andrea Bargnani contributed 11 points and 5 assists.
New York (3-9) has now dropped their last 5 consecutive games.
