John Wall scores 21, Wizards sneak by Nets

John Wall scored 21 points on 8-17 shooting, including 3-4 on 3-point attempts. Other key performers for Washington were Martell Webster with 13 points and 6 rebounds, Marcin Gortat with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Kevin Seraphin with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Paul Pierce had a quality performance off the bench for Brooklyn in the loss, putting up 27 points on 10-12 shooting (3-5 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 4-6 from the free throw line. Brook Lopez contributed 22 points and 5 rebounds, Joe Johnson finished with 20 points and 7 rebounds, and Deron Williams put up 15 points and 13 assists.
This drops Brooklyn (9-16) to 0-2 against Washington on the year.
Coming up, the Wizards battle the Boston Celtics, who are 12-15 on the season. The Nets go up against the Philadelphia 76ers, currently sitting at 7-19 this year. The Nets have a 1-0 record against Philadelphia this season.
