Joakim Soria: (Elbow) Lands Two-Year Deal With Rangers Staff

Update: Soria (elbow) agreed to a two-year deal with the Rangers on Monday, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Recommendation: Soria missed all of last season following Tommy John surgery, but earned the two-year deal after recording 160 saves over his five seasons with the Royals. He'll likely slot in as the top setup man to Joe Nathan, and assuming he can regain his pre-injury form, Soria could ultimately usurp Nathan of the closer's role.
