New York Jets running back Joe McKnight might line up as a cornerback for a few plays Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday with Darrelle Revis out with a concussion.
Jets coach Rex Ryan had McKnight take cornerback snaps at practice this week, according to the New York Daily News. McKnight would be used only in an emergency situation. Revis' absence leaves just four healthy cornerbacks on the roster.
McKnight played cornerback and safety in high school before switching to running back at USC under then-coach Pete Carroll.
McKnight played just three offensive snaps in the season opener against the Buffalo Bills.
