Other key performers for Memphis were Mike Conley with 14 points and 9 assists, Zach Randolph with 13 points and 7 rebounds, and Ed Davis with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Jeff Green had another strong performance for Boston in the loss, scoring 26 points on 9-19 shooting (1-5 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 7-8 from the free throw line. He also added 7 rebounds. Jared Sullinger chipped in 23 points and 12 rebounds.
The Grizzlies posted a sterling assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.00. This year, they are undefeated (4-0) when they exceed 2.50 in this metric. Conversely, the Celtics are 2-2 when allowing their opponents to achieve such a stellar ratio.
This drops Boston (6-11) to 0-2 against Memphis on the year.
