Jeremy Guthrie picks up no decision

Chris Cwik,

Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie picked up a no-decision Tuesday against the Rangers.

Guthrie allowed one run on eight hits over seven innings. He struck out one and did not issue any walks during the outing. Guthrie got off to a strong start to open the game, tossing four scoreless frames. He gave up his only run in the fifth inning. A leadoff triple to a man in scoring position, and a ground out brought the run home.

Guthrie earned a no-decision for his efforts. He'll take on the Tigers in his next start.
