Update: Gordon finished 38th in the NRA 500 at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night.
Recommendation: Gordon was the tough-luck story of the night in the NRA 500. The Hendrick Motorsports star led 15 laps during the middle stages of the race, and he held a presence in the Top 5 for a long while. With just 25 laps to go, the No. 24 Chevrolet slowed and came to the pit area. Gordon's car had lost a front-left hub and the damage sent him to the garage for the evening. The DNF ruined what could have been a run at the checkers at Texas. Gordon slipped three spots to 15th-place in the series standings after his Texas trouble.
