CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Guard Trey Burke scored 20 points and hit two free throws with 10.2 seconds left as the Utah Jazz beat the Charlotte Bobcats 88-85 on Saturday night.

The Jazz, who entered the game with the worst record in the NBA, won for just the eighth time this season and raised their record to 8-22.

They trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half but outplayed the Bobcats throughout the second half, leading by as many as nine early in the fourth quarter.

They ultimately held on when Bobcats guards Kemba Walker and Gerald Henderson missed 3-point attempts in the final 10 seconds.

Utah, which was 10 of 21 from 3-point range, also got 13 points from center Derrick Favors, 13 points from forward Richard Jefferson, 12 from guard Gordon Hayward, and 11 from guard Alec Burks.

The Bobcats had a three-game winning streak snapped and fell to 13-15.

Walker led the way with 20 points. Center Al Jefferson had 19 points and 11 rebounds against his former team, guard Ramon Sessions scored 13, and Henderson scored 12.

Charlotte led 21-17 after one quarter and 46-42 at halftime, but the Jazz took a 70-66 lead into the final quarter.

It was a 3-pointer by Burke with 2:40 remaining that gave Utah the lead for good at 86-83.

NOTES: Bobcats owner Michael Jordan unveiled the logo for the team once it changes its name to Hornets next season. It's a little less cartoonish and a little fiercer than the original Hornets logo. ... Bobcats coach Steve Clifford said F Jeffery Taylor will be out for the remainder of the season after suffering a ruptured right Achilles in the first minute of the Bobcats' 116-106 win at Detroit on Friday night. F Anthony Tolliver moved into Taylor's starting spot and Clifford said F Chris Douglas-Roberts and G Ben Gordon will get more playing time. ... The Bobcats are also missing F Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (fractured left hand) and C Brendan Haywood (stress fracture left foot). Kidd-Gilchrist will continue to wear a cast until Dec. 27. ... The Jazz were playing the fourth game of a five-game Eastern trip and were coming off a 118-85 loss at Atlanta on Friday. They will wind up traveling 4,684 miles in eight days on this trip, with stops in Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Charlotte and Memphis. ... Both teams were playing the second night of back-to-backs. Utah was 2-6 on the second night coming into Saturday night's game, and the Bobcats were 3-3. ... Saturday marked the first of a three-game homestand for the Bobcats. They host Milwaukee on Monday. ... The Jazz close out this road trip on Monday at Memphis.
