Jay Cutler: Dealing With Concussion

RotoWire.com Staff

Update: Cutler, who suffered a concussion late in the first half of Sunday night's loss to the Texans, won't be doing his weekly radio show Monday, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Recommendation: In any case, Cutler's availability for next Monday night's game against the 49ers is uncertain, with the QB needing to be cleared by team doctors as well as an independent neurological consultant before the possibility of him suiting up in Week 11 can be entertained. It is worth noting that this is not Cutler's first concussion, with his last one coming on October 3, 2010. At this point, Coach Lovie Smith is “hopeful” that Cutler could return next week, “but you can’t go that far. We just know he had symptoms, which started clearing up after the half. When a guy doesn’t finish the game, you’ve just got to go with that right now.”
