Update: Iginla skipped practice Sunday due to a minor groin injury, the Associated Press reports. Said Flames general manager Jay Feaster: "We told Jarome that we didn't want him to skate today ... It's nothing that we're concerned about. It's just that we don't want to push right now when we don't think there's a reason to do that."
Recommendation: All signs point to this being precautionary and everyone fully expects Iginla to be ready for the Flames' opener next Sunday, though we'll let this serve as a small reminder he's getting up there in years and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him - or other veterans for that matter - suffer the extra ailment or two with games about to be packed so heavy this season.
