Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Jeremy Mincey may sit out a second game as punishment for missing a team meeting last Saturday, according to ESPN.
Mincey was suspended for last Sunday's game against the Houston Texans after missing a team meeting before the team's trip to Houston.
Coach Gus Bradley said Friday that he wants to meet with Mincey on Saturday before making a final decision, but might keep him off the active roster for Sunday's game at the Cleveland Browns.
"I'm leaning towards that, but I have not yet discussed it with him (and) the team," Bradley said. "I will hopefully today some and finalize it again tomorrow."
Mincey said he was not surprised by Bradley's comments.
"I've just got to follow the head man's lead," he said. "I've just got to be more consistent with being a team guy (and) doing everything the right way."
Mincey missed last Saturday's meeting because he overslept. Bradley decided to leave him behind on the team's trip to Houston and fined him an undisclosed amount.
Mincey said earlier in the week that having a 3-month-old daughter and owning a recording studio in Jacksonville interfered with his commitment to the Jaguars.
"I really got a lot of love and respect for Coach Bradley and the way he does things and he did it the right way," Mincey said. "I appreciate him for giving me the time to refocus myself and dedicate myself to football so you can see the real player that's in me and I can start going back to who I really am."
Mincey has 13 tackles, one sack, three tackles for loss and three quarterback pressures in seven games. He missed three other games because of a concussion.
Rookie Ryan Davis filled in for Mincey against Houston and made an interception with 34 seconds left in the fourth quarter to preserve a 13-6 win.
