JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) -- Darion Rackley tied his career-high with 27 points in Jacksonville State's 85-61 win on Friday over Dalton State of the NAIA.
Rackley had 20 points at the break, including 12 of Jacksonville State's final 15 points of the first half. The Gamecocks led 38-34 at halftime and opened up the second period on a 21-3 run.
Undra Mitchem chipped in with 17 points and Grant White added 11 for Jacksonville State (1-5). The Gamecocks held a 42-25 rebounding advantage and went to the line 10 more times than Dalton State. It was Jacksonville State's first lead at halftime this season.
Dalton State made just 31 percent of its shots and was paced by Demetrice Jacobs with 14 points, on 4-of-14 shooting. Jacobs made 1 of 6 3-point attempts as the Roadrunners hit just seven of their 22 baskets from behind the arc.
