Jabari Greer says Gregg Williams is best coach he ever had in NFL

Gregg Williams is trying to rebuild his reputation with the Tennessee Titans after serving a suspension in 2012 for his role in the New Orleans Saints Bounty-Gate scandal.

But at least one Saints player - cornerback Jabari Greer - still gives Williams very high marks and says his influence is alive and well on the New Oreans defense even nearly two years removed from his time there.

In an interview with 102.5 The Game in Nashville via TitanInsider, Greer calls Williams simply the best coach he has ever had in 10 seasons in the NFL.

“I think he was the best defensive coach that I've played for professionally,” Greer said.

The veteran cornerback went on to say that Williams' influence is alive and well with the Saints defense and that the Titans are "lucky to have him" on their staff as a senior defensive assistant.

“Gregg did a great job of creating a professional approach to football. He made us accountable to each other,” Greer said. “He really created something that we still live off of today in our defensive room. We play with a passion and we play with an intensity that is going to be unmatched.”

It is certainly an interesting take from a respected member of the Saints defense, given that some in NFL circles thought Williams might be a pariah once he re-entered the league. But that certainly doesn't appear to be the case at least in Greer's mind.
