J.P. Howell: Agrees To One-Year Deal With Dodgers

Update: Howell agreed to a one-year, $3 million contract with the Dodgers on Friday, ESPN's Buster Olney reports.

Recommendation: After undergoing shoulder surgery and missing all of the 2010 season, Howell struggled in 2011 (6.16 ERA). However, the left-hander turned things around last year, posting a 3.04 ERA and a 1.212 WHIP over 50.1 innings for Tampa Bay. His addition bolsters an already deep Dodgers bullpen.
