The Cleveland Indians activated starting pitcher Josh Tomlin from the disabled list Monday and recalled third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall from Triple-A Columbus.
Chisenhall was called up after the Indians placed third baseman Jack Hannahan on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left calf. Hannahan was hitting .276 with three homers and 18 RBI.
Tomlin had been sidelined since May 8 with tendinitis in his right wrist.
Cleveland also made another roster move, designating right-hander Jairo Asencio for assignment to clear roster space for Tomlin.
