The Cleveland Indians placed right-hander Corey Kluber on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with a sprained middle finger on his right hand.
Kluber's injury is a setback for the Indians' rotation. He is 7-5 with a 3.54 ERA in 19 starts and 21 appearances this season. He pitched 7 1/3 innings in a no-decision on Monday night against the Detroit Tigers.
There was no immediate word from the Indians on how long the 27-year-old starter might be out.
Reliever Matt Langwell was recalled from Triple-A Columbus to take Kluber's spot on the 25-man roster.
