Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula confirmed to Goal on Friday that they are looking at possible ways of signing the burly striker, who netted 12 goals and came second on scoring chart, last season.
“It is true that we are interested in Ochomo’s services. We have spoken to him but there is nothing tangible to report as at now. We want him first to clear with Muhoroni Youth before we open proper discussions but for now, Ochomo remains a player we are interested in because he can help us improve in the striking department.”
Homeboyz finished the 2016 season at position eight and their aim for 2017 is to get deeper into the top eight zone. “We are using the short time to refuel ourselves ahead of the next season. Our main aim is to clinch the league’s title one day but we will go there gradually. It then means that we have to move higher on the ladder in 2017."
Kakamega Homeboyz finished behind Mathare United in 2016.
