Mike Wallace didn't attract the attention he had hoped for in restricted free agency, but he still has some leverage in trying to get a new deal from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to ESPN.com, Wallace is prepared to skip all of the Steelers off-season work and the start of training camp rather than sign the franchise tender of $2.7 million right away.
If Wallace does not sign the tender by June 15, the Steelers can cut the offer to $577,500.
Wallace is seeking a long-term deal rather than playing for the tender offer.
