Tony Farmer, a touted high school basketball player, was sentenced to three years in jail on Tuesday in Cleveland for kidnapping and assaulting his ex-girlfriend in April.
Farmer, who went to Garfield Heights High School, was sentenced on counts of kidnapping, assault, robbery and intimidation.
The incident occurred in the lobby and parking lot of the apartment complex of Andrea Lane, Farmer's former girlfriend. The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported that the incident was recorded by the apartment building's videotape machine.
The judge said she would review the sentence after 180 days.
Farmer, 18, was being recruited by Xavier, Dayton, Ohio State, Michigan State, Iowa, West Virginia, Illinois and others during his senior year.
