Hartford beats Dartmouth 68-56

HANOVER, N.H. (AP) -- Taylor Dyson scored a career-high 20 points and shot a perfect 5 of 5 from beyond the arc Tuesday as Hartford beat Dartmouth 68-56, snapping a two-game losing streak.

Dyson hit back-to-back 3-pointers to put Hartford (6-10) ahead 17-11, then hit another at 2:16 to give the Hawks an eight-point edge, but a layup at the buzzer by Dartmouth's Kevin Crescenzi cut the lead to 28-22 at halftime.

Dartmouth (7-6) took a 36-34 second-half lead on a layup by Connor Boehm, but Hartford ripped a 10-2 run, then Dyson hit another trey to make it 47-38. Dartmouth made it a five-point game on a layup by Gabas Maldunas, but Hartford pulled away and made nine free throws down the stretch.

Yolonzo Moore II scored 14 for the Hawks and Mark Nwakamma added 10 and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Alex Mitola led Dartmouth with 13, Maldunas had 12, and Boehm, 11.
