If you never leave the house without your time turner, are always down for a drunken game of wizard's chess, and have even created a Harry Potter-inspired room under your stairs, then listen up!

Universal Studios Hollywood has officially announced a new night-time show at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The new attraction, called 'The Night-time Lights at Hogwarts Castle', will invite Potterheads to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in a whole new light (literally), as spell-binding beams to rival Patronuses project onto the backdrop of the famous School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Raise your wands as night falls on Hogsmeade village and the castle, as Hogwarts' four houses – Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin – are showcased with beams of lights shining into the night sky.

And the colourful state-of-the-art light and special effects display will be accompanied by a special musical arrangement from Harry Potter's composer, Academy Award winner John Williams, based on his original scores from the movies.

Williams' score was recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra in surround sound, and conducted by prolific arranger William Ross.

Speaking to the LA Times, the park's senior manager of audio and visual production Stacey Quinealty said: "We really wanted the guests to have that bone-chilling moment and go, 'Wow, this is something I've never experienced before'. It's really spectacular."

Premiering at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter on Friday, June 23, the new light show will take place several times a night during its run.

And there will be limited preview access for annual pass holders before opening night.

We'll drink (a butterbeer) to that!
