Nicks caught 56 passes for 896 yards with the New York Giants in 2013, but was held without a touchdown catch. A big receiver with big-play ability, Nicks will look to join a receiver group that includes Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton.
“Hakeem is a big, tough, and highly competitive wide receiver who knows what it takes to win,” said Colts general manager Ryan Grigson in a statement. “His big-play potential requires attention from the defense every time he's out on the field. He adds another highly talented playmaker to our offense and we are happy to announce he is now an Indianapolis Colt.”
In the past five years, Nicks has caught 311 passes for 4,622 yards and 27 touchdowns in 70 regular season games with the Giants.
He was originally taken with the 29th overall pick in the first round by thte Giants in the 2009 draft.
