COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) -- Jordan Green sank a 3-pointer with 6.7 seconds remaining to lift Texas A&M to a 68-65 victory over Rice Friday night.
Kourtney Roberson paced the Aggies (3-0) with a game-high 19 points, while guard Max Guercy led Rice with 17 in the back-and-forth affair.
Guercy had missed the front end of a one-and-one with 1:34 remaining, but quickly responded with a steal and resulting layup, giving Rice (1-2) a 64-63 lead.
Green countered with a jumper to shove the Aggies to a 65-64 lead with 41 seconds left. Out of the break, Guercy drove the lane and was fouled by Roberson, and Guercy answered by making one of two free throws to tie the game with 27 seconds remaining.
Texas A&M ran down the clock prior to Green's triple. The Owls' Austin Ramljak missed a desperation 3-point attempt from deep in the right corner on their final possession
